MINISTER KEISHA NATALEE COLE
Associate Minister
Minister Keisha Cole is no stranger to God’s saving grace; her personal testimonies are evidence of God’s protection and favor. A true servant in every sense of the word, she humbly accepts her calling.
Minister Keisha is a Jamaican native, who moved to the US in 1982 and was raised in Newark, NJ. In 1998, she was involved in a traumatic car accident, which left her paralyzed. It was her faith and trust in God that helped her fight for every day she was given and by God’s grace and mercy, she was able to walk again; since then, Min. Keisha has been committed to sharing the unadulterated Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Since the age of 12, Min. Keisha has been ministering through song as a member of various Gospel groups, she was also blessed with the opportunity to sing background for Pastor Sherley Caesar and Vickie Winans, as well as having the opportunity to record and release her own Gospel music in 2012. Min. Keisha continues to minister through music at Mount Zion Baptist Church of Boonton Township, NJ, where Rev. Dr. Lisa Clayton is the Senior Pastor-Elect. Before joining Mount Zion Baptist Church, Min. Keisha served as the Vice President of the Young Adult Choir, was the Assistant Director of the Children’s Church Ministry, served as the Youth Choir Advisor, served on the Women’s Retreat Committee, and was the head choreographer for the youth and adult Praise Dance Ministry at Good Neighbor Baptist Church of Newark, NJ, where the Pastor is Rev. Dr. George Blackwell, III.
After operating in the Ministry for several years, Min. Keisha was licensed to preach in August of 2016 at Mount Zion Baptist Church of Boonton Township, under the leadership of the Late Rev. Dr. Kimberly Credit. She serves on the ministerial staff as the Young Adult Minister and in this capacity she has taught Teen Bible Study, Adult, Youth and Teen Sunday School, coordinated and lead a quarterly session for Young Adults known as “The Breakfast Club”, as well as Second Fridays, a service dedicated to topics that concern Young Adults. Min. Keisha also created a group chat, called “The Roots”, where young adults can express themselves and ask questions in a safe space, while receiving answers and encouragement rooted in the Word.
Min. Keisha is a proud mother of four, three boys and one girl, Aaron, Ka-shawn, Jeremiah, and Shania, all of whom she loves and adores.
Min. Keisha is a graduate of Montclair State University where she received her BA in Science, a graduate of DeVry - Keller School of Graduate Management, where she received her Master in Business Administration, and she attended NY Divinity Seminary, where she pursued her Master of Divinity degree; she will be returning to seminary in January 2023, where she will complete her Master of Divinity degree.
Min. Keisha is a firm believer in the saying “What God has for me is for me,” and faithfully she continues to serve, ready to go wherever God leads as she presses “toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philipians 3:14
